A cultural brand preserving history through art, storytelling, education, and apparel.
We Are IN the Story.
IN the Fight.
INerasable.
About INerasable™
INerasable is a cultural brand and educational platform that preserves and amplifies history through storytelling, art, and powerful representation. In a world that actively tries to rewrite or erase Black contributions, we make these figures unforgettable—and impossible to ignore.
We bring the stories of leaders, thinkers, artists, and revolutionaries to life through bold visual art, engaging educational resources, and conversation-starting, bold apparel. Every name we highlight is a legacy that deserves to be remembered.
At a time when school curricula are being censored and history books are being rewritten, INerasable stands for truth, education, and visibility. We believe Black history is American history—and we refuse to let it be erased or sanitized.
We exist to preserve what others try to silence—because legacy is power, and truth doesn’t fade.
They are trying to make us insignificant.
They are trying to erase what and who built this country.
But we are not insignificant.
We are not erasable.

Because Legacy is Power
More PostsIt all begins with an idea...
My name is Stafford H. Burns III, founder of INerasable. I grew up in Texas — a state at the center of America’s education industry. Because Texas is one of the largest textbook buyers in the country, districts nationwide often adopt books shaped by Texas standards. I watched this reality with growing frustration as those in power manipulated our shared story — American history. Seeing how easily history could be watered down, sanitized, or erased by a small group of misguided zealots pushed me to act and do what was in my power to do.
With a degree in history and a lifelong passion for honoring the past as our road to the present, I became increasingly disturbed by how powerful figures and critical events were being left out or rewritten to fit a narrow narrative. Names like Emmett Till, Barbara Jordan, and Zora Neale Hurston — leaders, artists, and revolutionaries who shaped America — were missing from the story, reduced to footnotes, or even recast as villains.
After a while, this erasure began to feel personal. My great-uncle, General Benjamin O. Davis Jr., the first Black general in the U.S. Air Force and a leader of the Tuskegee Airmen, was being relegated to the dustbin of history. His legacy shaped not only military history but American history itself. Yet even his name, like so many others, is too often left out of the discussion and the textbooks that reach our kids. Thankfully for our family, my cousin Doug Melville recently captured Ben's story — and the story of his father — in the New York Times best-seller Invisible Generals.
My frustration slowly became my passion. I created INerasable™ to fight back against erasure, censorship, and the rewriting of history. I wanted to make history unforgettable, visible, and impossible to ignore.
INerasable is more than apparel and more than art. It is a cultural brand and educational platform built to preserve history through bold visual design, original storytelling, and legacy apparel. Every portrait, every shirt, every story we share is a reminder that Black history is American history — and it must be seen, remembered, and in this case, worn.
And what excites me most about this concept is its scalability. While Black history is our foundation, other stories of marginalized groups are at risk of being erased, too. In the future, we hope to expand to highlight figures such as:
- Marsha P. Johnson, a trailblazing LGBTQ+ activist.
- Jovita Idar, an early 20th-century Mexican American journalist, activist, and suffragist who fought for education and civil rights in Texas.
- Yuri Kochiyama, a Japanese American activist who stood for civil rights, and a friend of Malcolm X.
- Jane Addams, who championed social reform and peace.
- Judith Heumann, a leader of the disability rights movement.
- Charles Sumner, Senator and a leading American advocate for the abolition of slavery.
This project is also for educators who need powerful resources, for parents who want their children to learn the truth, and for communities determined to keep legacies alive.
Legacy is power. Truth doesn’t fade. And we refuse to be erased.
